The Series 9 & 10 towers are designed with the objective of driving operating costs down without compromising on efficiency. In fact, the design enhances the rate of heat exchange by distributing water uniformly, increasing the surface area of contact and maximising air-flow through the tower. The fans, gearbox and drift eliminators are optimised and thoroughly tested to deliver maximum cooling with minimum applied horsepower, much lower than usual, this is the difference that 60 years of manufacturing experience makes.
Maintenance is a nuisance for any user; this is why Paharpur carefully selects inert materials to design its towers with- all steel components are hot-dipped galvanised after fabrication, splash bars are made of preservative-treated wood and are supported by non-corrosive FRP grids.
The FRP grids supporting the wood splash bars are an exclusive Paharpur feature and they hold the fill permanently in position- this ensures uniform water distribution throughout the life of the tower and reduces draft loss to negligible amounts. The towers have been designed with a low profile so the appearance & general configuration blend easily with the surroundings.
